PointScribe Live! (Unscripted Videos)

PointScribe, In a Teacher's Words

This video begins with a teacher sharing her impressions of PointScribe. The young student in this video previously would not handwrite and now asks for time using PointScribe.

PointScribe unlocks learning for this student. Listen as this boy adds to the experience by saying out loud a word that begins with the letter he is writing!

PointScribe is an unparalleled tool for early literacy, in particular, it often opens doors for those learners who are reluctant or lack confidence.

Autism and PointScribe

Watch: this video says it all. At first, this girl with autism refuses to engage in the paper and marker handwriting lesson and with the O.T. resulting in wasted time and frustration for everyone.

That all changes when PointScribe’s multi-sensory captivating, engaging, and fun handwriting lesson is presented to her.

Global Developmental Delays and PointScribe

In this video, the student is a girl with global developmental delays. Watch as she becomes frustrated, bored, and distracted when learning comes with great difficulty. Paper and marker lessons fail to provide sufficient motivation, direction, or interest to hold her attention and be effective.

When PointScribe is presented to the student, the visual and audible stimulation clearly succeed where the paper and marker simply could not. Another example of play-with-a-purpose hard at work.

Cerebral Palsy and PointScribe

In this video, the student is a girl with cerebral palsy and fine motor challenges. The lesson is to write the capital M. The lesson (game) is to always move the baby doll (start point) to the cradle (stop point). Watch as she plays-with-a-purpose, making the first letter of her name over and over again: her expression says it all!

The audible and visual cues provide constant and consistent guidance which result in handwriting success. The computer measures and records important handwriting proficiency data that will be used in charts and reports. The reports can be used in evidence-based teaching strategies for optimizing the challenge of the student’s lessons. Additionally, the data is used for PointScribe’s "smart" technology to automate the educational process of learning to handwrite.
