PointScribe's Classroom Mode was created to reduce the time and effort required to set up and launch and monitor handwriting lessons for groups of up to 26 students (classrooms). With a few clicks, the educator can launch a lesson for an entire classroom--and PointScribe does all the work.
Once the teacher selects and launches a lesson, students can self-select names and take turns. PointScribe acts like a virtual teacher's aide, ensuring every student is presented with personalized lesson content at the appropriate challenge level... at all times.
Classroom mode monitors and manages the amount of PointScribe time for each student. When the student has completed his PointScribe lesson, the program returns to the Classroom page and will not restart---for that student. The next student is now ready to begin her handwriting lesson with PointScribe.
The Classroom Page
Each student’s name appears on a pencil icon.
Students self-select name: a great name recognition exercise which also frees up the teacher as students launch their own lessons unassisted.
Tally on the pencil eraser tracks number of times each student has completed the lesson, allowing the teacher an at-a-glance account of how students are cycling through the current lesson.
